How the Bonus Bass Payout Works
Bonus Bass is a 102-day tagged bass event on Lake Murray and Santee Cooper, and our payout system grows throughout the entire season to keep things exciting.
🟦 Daily Growing Bonus Pot
The Bonus Pot increases by $100 every day of the event.
Every Tuesday, we add an extra bonus: gift cards or gear from local businesses.
🟩 Catching & Turning In a Tagged Fish
When you turn in a tag, you win the full value of the Bonus Pot on that day.
If more than one angler turns in a tag on the same day (midnight to midnight), the pot is split evenly among those anglers.
You do not have to turn in a tag the same day you caught it. You may redeem it any day you choose during the event.
🟨 The $25,000 Tagged Fish
One special tagged bass is worth $25,000.
At the end of the event, we’ll review all submitted tags to see if anyone caught the winning fish. The winning tag number is not known by Bonus Bass. It is withheld in a sealed envelope by Bonus Bass and Odds-on Promotions.
